Three Roulette Strategies You Should Ignore

Originated from France, roulette constitutes one of the most exciting forms of casino games that can be played both on land and online. Often considered to be a game of pure luck, it requires minimal skill to bag the jackpot. This is one of the main reasons why it rapidly became very popular amongst players.

While some roulette strategies may work, others may not. Even Albert Einstein stood to this claim, saying, “the only way to beat roulette is to steal the money when the dealer is not looking."

Here are the common myths and approaches in roulette that do not necessarily work to players’ advantage:
  1. All roulette wheels are the same – they are not. The European Roulette has only 37 slots, while the American Roulette has 38. Less slots means greater odds of winning.
  2. Every spin of the wheel affects the result of the next – it doesn’t. For example, players feel that black has a higher chance of coming up next if the ball falls on red 10 times in a row. Roulette is a game of pure chance and obsessing on logic and strategies will make it less fun.
  3. The Martingale Theory. This is the oldest and most familiar system in roulette. Using this theory, one would double what they bet each time they lose. While this is not entirely a myth, and a fraud for that matter, it could pose serious danger to one’s pocket.
Many punters assume that relying on casino strategies will help them win. This can be true in some cases, but absolutely not in all. Most games in land-based and online casinos were developed as hotspots for entertainment rather than as venues for tedious estimations.

Insurance: The Least Understood Rule for Blackjack

Just like any other card-based casino games, Blackjack is a comparing card game between a player and a dealer. That is, players are never against each other, and the dealer is their only competition. For the players to beat the dealer, they have to score 21 points from their first two cards (referred to as a blackjack), reach a final score higher than the dealer without exceeding 21, or let the dealer draw additional cards until his hand exceeds 21. These are the basic rules in blackjack.

But what happens when the dealer offers insurance?

In an online casino like CasinoJR, the insurance rule in blackjack stays the same; it happens only when the dealer’s upcard is an ace. It means players have the option to make a side bet of up to half of their original bet to the dealers hand that might have a blackjack. If the player takes the offer and wins, the dealer pays two to one. It also means that the player just won his or her initial bet back for a net of zero dollars. But if the dealer doesn’t have a blackjack, the player loses the insurance bet and may be confined to continuing the game.

The term “insurance” in blackjack can be misleading. Perhaps, it is the least understood of all the commonly applied rules for blackjack. But this does not necessarily mean that taking advantage of the insurance is a bad thing; it is just a house bet, after all. And if it appears bothersome, then not taking this casino add-on would be the best way to shun it. Testing its efficiency, however, can be educational. This is one of the many things that make online blackjack exciting and interesting.

Using Poker Odds Charts to Your Advantage

Ever watch Texas Hold’em on TV and wonder how certain poker players know when to throw away a hand that seems like it’s an absolute winner? You know what we’re talking about. They’re holding KQ, but they’ve been pushed in after the flop. They’ve got a pair of queens on the board, and it seems pretty solid. But instead of re-raising or calling that bet, they drop their cards.

There’s a possibility they could have taken it, but they bow out? And it turns out the other player had a hand that would have crushed them. Is the player psychic? Nope. They just understand poker odds.

Find out how good your hand is
A poker odds chart tells you how much you can call when you’re trying to complete a drawing hand. It’s particularly useful if you’re trying to make a flush or a straight flush. Using the chart, you can compare pot odds with the odds of getting the card that will complete your hand. After you know the pot odds, you can figure out whether it will be profitable to call certain raises or bets from other players.

There are a lot of complex poker odds charts that tell you exactly what you need to know for every hand situation, but if you’re playing in a live tournament, it might be difficult for you to memorize. So we recommend starting with something simple like an all-in hands probability odds chart.

Being pushed all-in happens a lot, especially if you’re a brand new player. With our all-in hands odds chart, you only have eight situations to remember. This chart explains your odds of winning pre-flop. That means before you see any cards.

Of course, once the cards hit the felt, the odds change. But if you’re faced with an all-in situation pre-flop, these odds can help you make the right decision.

We know what you’re thinking. How is this possible? If you’re dealt pocket kings, how could you possibly know that you’ve got an 80% chance of winning if you have no idea what the other guy has?

It’s simple. There’s only one possible hand that’s better—and that’s pocket Aces. If you can assume that your opponent doesn’t have that hand, then your odds of winning will be 80%. You’ll need to use other tactics like figuring out tells to be successful, but understanding the odds is a great place to start.

In the mood for some poker? Check out the video poker games at CasinoJR. You won’t play against other players, so there aren’t any odds to worry about. But you will have a great shot at winning thanks to video poker variations that pay you out—even with low ranking hands. There are tons of games available, so check them out.

Live Baccarat: The World's Best Known Casino Table Game On Your Personal Computers

The game of baccarat is one of the oldest and most popular table games in any casino all over the world. A big heap of punters from different walks of life normally meet in a baccarat table to have fun and win. Baccarat simply means “zero” and to win this game, your hand has to have a value of 8 or 9. In Asian countries like Hong Kong, Thailand, Indonesia, and Malaysia, online baccarat has become eminent since online casino took over the internet.

Perhaps because of its popularity with online gamblers, people have initiated different varieties of online baccarat. On CasinoJR, there are VIP Baccarat Live, Progressive Baccarat and Live Baccarat online games available.

In the traditional Baccarat, the table is made up of three betting sections: the Player, the Banker, and the Tie. The hand with a total value of 9 or close wins; if the Player wins, you are paid equally but if the Banker wins, 5% bank commission will be deducted from you. If the Player’s hand and the Banker’s hand have equal totals, the game is evidently a Tie. If a punter placed a bet on the “Tie” field, his payoff is 8 for 1. If no one bets on Tie, bets are returned to the punters.

On CasinoJR Casino, Live Baccarat is just like the traditional baccarat game – with fancy casino ambiance, lively pretty dealers and real baccarat tables.

Live Progressive Baccarat

Following the same traditional baccarat rules, the only thing that makes this game extra special is its progressive jackpot, which obviously gives the players opportunity to win more.

VIP Baccarat Live

Any casino has VIP suites, tables, and rooms catering for high roller players. VIP Baccarat Live gives the players to choose higher limit tables aside from the usual fun casino ambiance and pretty live dealers. The rest of the standard baccarat rules still apply.

Baccarat indeed is regarded as one of the most sophisticated games in online casino. The biggest advantage that the baccarat players can get from these online baccarat versions is the chance to enjoy this game comfortably at home on their computers at the time that is most convenient to them.

Online Casinos and How they Give Back to the Community

The e-gaming industry has provided people endless possibilities to enjoy an ultra-modern form of entertainment and cash-generation platform. The rise of the business also powered local economies, which means that the profits they engender contribute a sizable portion to the revenues of the government—forming the nexus toward socio-economic improvements. Thanks to their legalization (in some markets), online casinos continue to make a positive change in the lives of people.

Most charity gambling activities are administered by independent groups outside the gaming industry. Establishing free associations with casinos, these independent organizations raise funds to augment the living conditions of their target recipients. Such activities have sheltered a glowing light in the seemingly misunderstood nature of gambling, proving that even such high-risk activities can also act as catalysts to improve communities—in a very big way!

There are also charities that are done by online casinos themselves. Under special programs, players indirectly contribute a part of their bets to altruistic causes designed to meet the needs of specific advocates. Such projects may include feeding programs, livelihood support, environmental drives, and resource management initiatives, among others.

While they may initiate charities, online casinos are still under meticulous monitoring by government bodies. Policy makers have to regulate the “money-making” department of these companies as they pose certain risks with regard to ethical standards and customers’ psychological units. Regardless, these institutions continue to flourish, find new opportunities to extend their significance way beyond the business realm, and give back to the community in the best ways they can.

Blackjack Tips and Tricks: How to Play like a Pro

Blackjack, or twenty-one… One of the most straightforward and yet elegant casino games you could think of, right? This game, where you accept or decline cards until you get as close as you can to twenty-one without exceeding the figure, conjures up images of wearing expensive formal clothes and sipping a cocktail as the croupier offers you another card. You’re already at seventeen, so do you hit, or do you stay? In the hilarious spy genre spoof, Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery, our hero wants to impress an evil henchman and his mistress as he joins them at the blackjack table. The henchman is at the rather high point of seventeen, and he accepts another card, telling the assembled observers that he likes to live dangerously. The next card is a four, making it a perfect twenty-one. Austin Powers is at five and stays, declining another card, telling everyone, “I also like to live dangerously.” While not even a beginner would choose to stay when only at five, how exactly do you play (and win) at Blackjack? Let’s look at a few tips and tricks to get you started…

I recently played in online casino, blackjack to be exact. I can certainly say I dusted off my blackjack skills. Not to mention I won about RM176! It is a fantastic feeling to win. By reading on and understanding the game, chances are you will win too.

Getting Started

When visiting a casino, Blackjack can certainly be a welcome diversion from playing slot machines; a way to sample some of the table games on offer. While it is a game that the casual gamer can pick up quite easily, there is a minimum bet, and this varies greatly from table to table, and casino to casino. Blackjack can be a good way to quickly lose money, so it’s good to start at a table where the minimum bet is relatively low, until you get used to the rhythm of the game.

Chance Vs. Skill

While there’s a certain amount of chance involved when it comes to playing Blackjack, there is also a skill involved, much like poker, and definitely unlike playing slot machines. Of course, you need to pay careful attention to the cards that have been dealt, as you might get a feeling as to what comes next, although remember that this is very much a “feeling.” Those who are truly skilled at mathematics can learn to count cards, which, while not illegal, is discouraged by the casino, as the counter can accurately gauge which card can come next, and the casino is likely to eject any patrons suspected of card counting.

The Magic Numbers

There’s a very simple rule when it comes to playing Blackjack, and that’s to remember the magic numbers, which are eleven and seventeen. You are statistically likely to get much closer to twenty-one if you’re at eleven and take a hit, whereas you’re statistically likely to exceed twenty-one if you’re at seventeen and take a hit. Naturally, if you’re at seventeen or thereabouts and decide to not stay, and actually get closer or even hit twenty-one, then your winnings are going to be much higher.
No matter which game you’re playing at the casino, it can be important to sit back and look at everything around you: all the decoration, all the staff, all the bright lights and glamour. These things don’t come cheap, and casinos make an extraordinary annual profit, so most of the time, the winner will be the casino. Remember to be careful with how much your minimum bet is, to roll with the punches, and definitely remember that it’s supposed to be fun!

Online Casinos and the Bonuses They Offer

The enticing glitz and invigorating ambience of the casinos in Las Vegas, Monaco, or Macao make them real havens for the most avid punters. But in recent years, online casinos seem to be writing new history as they are already winning gamers over. How did this happen? They offer convenience, variety, and above all, great bonuses. The following are some of the basic bonuses that online casinos offer to their customers.

Sign-up and welcome bonuses

In order to get hold of a good number of players, online casinos offer welcome bonuses—incentives that provide gamers with an initial pay upon their registration with the promise of playing their games regularly as a return. This provides advantage to both parties: the casino obtains a potentially ‘loyal’ customer and the customer earns prize even before he or she enters a betting session.

No-Deposit Bonus

This type of bonus works more advantageously to players. A no-deposit bonus simply allows them to play online games and earn prizes if they win without having the need to make a deposit up front.

Loyalty Bonus

Players who regularly play in online casinos will have a reward in the long run, in the form of loyalty bonuses. Most online casinos offer VIP programs to players who utilize their service in a regular basis. They are rewarded with extra points as they progress in their casino stint and when the ripe time comes, they will be promoted to VIP level—a status for players who are given the chance to earn more lucrative bonuses than what they are getting from their regular sessions.

High Roller Bonus

The most loyal players are duly rewarded for their passionate patronage. The same system applies to customers who make huge bets in their every gaming round.

Cash-back Bonus

Online casinos understand that customers flock to their portals with just one important aim: to win. If players fail to earn any jackpot or lose so much of their money, online casinos will give them a cash-back bonus based on a certain percentage of their original or total wagers.

Interested in earning these bonuses from online casinos? Register an account now at CasinoJR and witness your casino investment soar beyond your home’s ceiling!

Tips for Playing Smart Video Poker

Of all the games you’ll encounter in an online casino, video poker might be the one that offers you the most interesting strategic challenge. Part of the game is, like slots, largely up to luck of the draw – you’re at the whim of the cards you’re dealt, good or bad. But part of how well you fare is also up to you.

Video poker presents some fascinating decisions from time to time. Do you keep that pair of jacks, or chase the straight for the higher payout? Throw away the bad hand, or hold onto one or two promising high cards? The decision is yours to make.

This can be a blessing or a curse. On one hand, it’s nice to be in control of your own destiny, knowing that if you play well you could be in for a big payday. Alternatively, you might also crash and burn if you don’t know what you’re doing.

Before you start wagering serious money on playing a video poker game at CasinoJR, it’s good to take a quick crash course and review what’s what. Here are some casino tips to remember when you take a crack at the game:

Know the Video Poker Rules

It sounds obvious, but knowing the rules of the game is really important: Before you sit down to begin playing video poker, you need to make sure you know the rules of poker backward and forward. No, you can’t form “wrap-around” straights, with the ace being high and low at the same time, and no, contrary to the opinion of Topher Grace’s character in Ocean’s Eleven, you don’t win if your cards are “all reds.” Make sure you have all the rules down like the back of your hand.

That includes not just poker rules, but video poker specifics too. What’s the lowest hand that gets paid out on that particular machine – jacks or better, kings or better, or two pair? What are the payouts? Are there wild cards in play? If you don’t know all of this stuff well and understand what it all means, you probably should think twice before starting to wager real money.

Think of the Video Poker Odds

Whenever you’re drawing to a particular hand, you should think for a moment about your odds of hitting it. This doesn’t mean you need to be a math genius and calculate percentages down to 18 decimal places, but learn some general principles. For example: An open-ended straight draw gives you a better chance of hitting a payout than an inside straight. Chasing a flush is easier than chasing a straight, because you have more cards that give you a win (9, as opposed to 8 or 4). Just like live poker players count their “outs,” you can do the same.

Slow Down Your Video Poker Play

Even best video poker players in the world know that casino games aren’t pre-programmed to payout out more than what’s wagered into the machines; in other words, the casino will always have the slightest of edges. That said, it’s best to play at a nice leisurely pace, enjoying the experience rather than rushing through it; regardless of how well you know how to play the game – get some entertainment value out of it. Especially if you start a bit of a losing streak, you don’t want to go on tilt and begin spewing your money away quickly.

Know When to Quit Playing Video Poker

Like any other form of gambling, video poker should only be enjoyed responsibly. That means you need to have self awareness as you play, and if you’re not feeling up to your A game, it might be time to walk away. If you’re frustrated, if you’ve been drinking, or if you’re gambling with money you can’t afford to lose, those are all signs that you might need to call it quits, at least for a little while.

Video poker is one of the best casino games out there, offering the perfect combination of luck and skill. If you play your best, your skills could win out.

Live Dealers make for an Authentic Online Casino Experience

Online casinos made wager-based gaming a highly accessible pastime for the global audience. Sharing almost the same caliber and legitimacy with their land-based counterparts, online casinos help players enjoy games like roulette, poker, or slots in the most convenient ways imaginable. With just a pinpointing of the computer cursor and safe monetary transaction over the Web, online gaming can now be relished with high-tech service.

While many people still go to land-based casinos to experience genuine gaming spree, they nevertheless end up tangled in the hectic pace of land or air travel, the danger of being held up on the roads, and the tiresomeness of a noisy casino atmosphere. It is for these very reasons that online casinos—through the initiatives of developers like Playtech and Microgaming—have started making their games “real” by incorporating live dealers in the sessions. These dealers are real people and they assist players through real-time, video-based features. This way, interacting with human croupiers becomes verily possible.

Live dealer games may be relatively less available compared to the conventional online games, as of the moment. But players can nonetheless access casino classics in this format. Most live dealer casinos will assist in live Blackjack, Baccarat, Roulette, or Craps.

Live dealer games allow players to interact at the tables, which is a feature that standard online card or table games may not offer. While on their seats playing the live games, players can chat with their fellow customers and even interact with the croupier. This makes for an online casino experience whose authenticity rival that of the casinos in Las Vegas, Monaco, or Macao!

Strike Gold in the Pharaoh’s Kingdom

Raid a pharaoh’s kingdom a la Indiana Jones—minus the curses, traps, and bad guys trying to kill you—through CasinoJR's scratch game “Pharaoh’s Kingdom”, in the comfort of your home!

You don’t need archaeological knowledge to win this game; just the blessing of Lady Luck. All you have to do is purchase up to three cards by clicking “Play”, shuffle these cards as you wish, and scratch your card at hand to reveal six symbols.

If at least one of these symbols matches the lone card located at the center of the game, you win the prize corresponding to the symbol. You don’t have to look up a pay table, because the values corresponding to the symbols are already clearly indicated.  The higher the value you’re willing to pay for the cards and/or the more cards you buy, the more chances you have of finding the pharaoh’s treasure!

You can also save yourself the effort of clicking “Play” too much via the “Autoplay” function. Here, you can specify how many times the game will play itself using the – and + buttons. Who knows, you may just have up to 10,000 times your original bet if you play enough rounds. (10,000 times a unit of currency isn’t something you snort at, by the way.)

Even the most powerful pharaoh’s treasure has limits. “Pharaoh’s Kingdom”, on the other hand, offers you unlimited opportunities to make money beyond your wildest dreams, without breaking a sweat.

Lucky Blackjack Shares Reward That Are 19X Bigger Than The Original Bet

Lucky Blackjack is far from being your ordinary blackjack variant. Such casino game gets you a 19 to 1 payout even without card counting’s help. Under this game, the only thing required is for players to know how to add their numbers.

How does it work?
Lucky Blackjack’s game objective is to predict the total value of the dealer’s hand. Possible hand values, which range from 17 to 21 and even a bust are laid out on the table. The only thing left to the players’ responsibility is to choose the hand that will more likely show up.

In other words, this is a pure guessing game. You may find it odd, given the thrill that often accompanies blackjack. However, this relieves the stress often associated with applying blackjack techniques.

Winning possibilities
On a closer look, this game presents higher winning possibilities. This can be attributed to the fact that only a few hand values are offered. Hands that have a value lower than 17 are no longer included. As a result, the possibility that the hands laid out on the table shall crop out, duly increases.

Lucky Blackjack is just like roulette in a way. The more numbers you have on-screen, the lower is their chance to show up.

It has been already proven that blackjack is the only game that can be beaten legally. Indeed, there is truth to card-counting’s efficiency. But in cases where applying a technique becomes too cumbersome—too tasking—that it prevents the player from enjoying, games such as Lucky Blackjack provides a great alternative.

Things to think about when playing Blackjack Switch

Patented in 2009, Blackjack Switch is rapidly taking the casino world by storm. What differentiates this variant from the regular BlackJack is that instead of just one hand, two hands are dealt to each playing position, and players are allowed to exchange (hence, the word ‘switch’) the top two cards between hands. While this is a good opportunity to increase the odds of winning, switching cards is not obligatory. Players are recommended to do so only when they feel their cards will make a better hand.

Dealer 22 makes all remaining hands a push. Switching the top cards increases players’ chance for a BlackJack. Under this circumstance, a special rule has been implemented in which the dealer will not go bust if it reaches 22. If he does get a 22, the game will be considered a draw (or a push with all players, except those who obtained blackjack hands).

Split each hand only once, split aces receive on card per hand. Switching cards is entirely bound to players’ discretion. There are no rules set for this game as to when a player can and cannot switch cards. The main goal of the game is to make the perfect Blackjack for both hands. If only one hand makes the combination, the player would at least come out even.

Double down on any two cards, double down after a split. Effective management of bankroll is very important when playing Blackjack Switch. In this game, betting is not just placed on one hand, but two. Therefore, losing can be reached twice as fast as wining. Keeping an eye to bankroll limits is strongly advised.

Ready to play Blackjack Switch? Test your luck on making perfect hands by playing this game at CasinoJR!

3 Blackjack Techniques That You Should Never Try

Do you ever wonder why you can’t beat the house in blackjack? Well, maybe you fail to execute your strategies properly.

To split or not to split
Splitting is an option given whenever you have a pair. Take note, however, that this move is a double-edged sword. Either you benefit from it, or it becomes your worst nightmare.

When you have a pair of eight (8), still, it is much better to split. Sixteen (16), is still, not a strong hand. But if you split it, still, you get more winning opportunities. One of your hands can get a seventeen (17) or even an eighteen (18) for that matter.

Meanwhile, if you have a pair of nine (9), you can keep the hand since you’ve got an eighteen (18) in there. However, if you have plans of splitting, do it only when the dealer has a nine (9), Ace or ten (10).

Not hitting with sixteen (16)
Most players are hesitant to take a hit whenever they get a card value of sixteen (16). It’s a good one. But unfortunately, it’s not strong enough. Never miss the chance to get a twenty-one (21) or even a twenty (20) just because you fear of busting. Well, that is normal. But what is perhaps “not-so-normal,” is to wait for the dealer to get busted when you can get a better and stronger hand.

Taking the insurance
Whenever the dealer’s upcard is an Ace, you have the option to get an insurance. It protects you from losing big amounts if the dealer secured blackjack. It sounds great, right? Unfortunately, the insurance is no more than an illusion. Just because the dealer holds an Ace already means that he or she has blackjack. It could’ve been another result. But because the thought of having blackjack already scared you, you end up spending more.

Of all casino games, blackjack is the only game where you can easily destroy the house edge. However, you should be careful with the moves and strategies that you employ. As seen on the above-mentioned examples, those are proven techniques, however, if it is not executed properly, it may not work to your advantage.

Live Casinos Vs. Online

The main motivation for transitioning from traditional, land-based casinos to an online casino is that the gambler is able to play wherever they go and at any time they feel like, as long there is internet service to access. Any gambler that has been constrained by distance or time in the past will really appreciate the convenience of online casinos, getting to a land-based casino can be a real pain in the ass for those who have work and other commitments.

Although a grey area, players in countries prohibiting land-based gambling have somewhere to place their bets in the online world. So, in addition to providing the convenience of not having to leave the home, people who are serious about their hobby don’t have to go to far flung places like Macau or Las Vegas to have a decent gamble.

Another crucial aspect of the convenience factor is the fact that the casual gambler doesn't want to justify their trip far out of town, just to play the pokies, roulette or blackjack. Visiting an online casino means punters can now spin the reels via their smartphones, laptops and tablets, giving them the power to gamble on-the-go. Virtual casinos have gone to great lengths to make software that integrates with these platforms properly, ensuring a smooth game whoever you are. How many people who usually would have to travel far to indulge in their hobby are now able to do it on the commute home? Or in their own lounge rooms? The way things are headed it’s just going to get easier and easier. And hey, playing a few hands of poker in bed sounds like a good start to the weekend.

Another advantage is the fact that you don’t have to see other players, like in a casino, this allows you to better keep your cool. You know what I mean, when someone at the poker table is commenting on your every move, trying to ‘psyche’ you out. When you’re playing online, you can take your time to make the decisions you want, without the pressure of other players. In the privacy of your own home, you can be as comfortable as you like, no need to get dressed up. Hell, some gamblers play in their underwear. Being comfortable is something that will allow you to build your skill letting you focus purely on the game itself. If you get to the point where your game is so good you can hang with the trash talkers, then you have the option to play live in the future.

There are a lot of online casinos out there, offering all sorts of games. But remember to try and sort the good from the bad, find a place you like to play, that offers you a good bonus. Try and make the best of your bankroll and remember, above all else, to have fun.

Bagging the Gold Cup in Reel Classic 3

Online slot games, such as CasinoJR’s Reel Classic 3, allow you to earn a hefty sum of cash with just a small bet. You can win a cash prize of several thousand with a wager just the price of a simple ceramic mug.

Reel Classic 3 is a three-reel standard slot game that can be played via the Web through online casino services, such as CasinoJR. As it was born from the womb of actual slot machines, the game is also won by coming up with a certain symbol combination generated by a “Spin.” A winning symbol combination is automatically prompted by the machine, so you no longer need to guess if you won something or nothing.

Start the game by placing a wager on each round. This can be done by clicking on the + and – signs on the bottom left corner of the gaming window. Press “Bet One” to increase your bet. Each click will correspond to a column in the pay table being activated. This is where your winnings will be based upon. If you wish to activate all the columns and escalate your chance of winning, click “Bet Max” and the reel will also be automatically spun.

If the reels display a winning combination (which can be a row of “BAR” placards, film reels, gold cups, or a specific combination of them) after they stop, you win a prize based on the pay table.

Top 5 Ways to Break a Bad Luck Streak

Everyone has experienced those times when the cards just won’t fall your way. No matter where you place your bets, sometimes they just never seem to pay off. For days at a time you may try your luck at a slot game aiming to hit a progressive jackpot, only to leave the game one evening and find out the next morning that it’s been hit by someone else. Like good luck streaks, bad luck streaks are a part of any and every gambler’s experiences. Though naturally tough to withstand, we've got a few tips on how to make it through a prolonged streak of bad luck until good fortune once again smiles upon you.

1. Take a break

One losing gaming session after another can exact a high psychological toll on you and make you feel as though “I'm never going to win”. That is of course a completely false assumption – your lucky day may arrive at any given moment that the stars align.

Nonetheless, sometimes a short break from online casino gaming is in order to help you clear your head and ward away the negative thoughts. Once you've stepped away for a little while, it’ll make coming back to try your luck again with a fresh start that much more enjoyable.

2. Try new games

Perhaps you've gotten unlucky because you've been playing the same games for too long? Of course we all have our favourites we love to play but sometimes the hot streak rests with other casino games. If you've always stuck to slots, maybe give table games a try for the first time? If you only play progressive jackpot games, why not try some classic slots or arcade games for a change? Just like in land-based casinos some players have superstitions about “lucky machines”, it’s entirely possible that you may have a lucky run ahead of you but you've just got to be playing the “right” game at the right time.

3. Reduce your bet size

It’s possible you may feel that you’re running really badly, but it’s only because your bets are too high for your bankroll. Lowering your wagers will naturally make your funds last longer and limit the swings you experience (reduce your variance). Even if you continue to get unlucky, your losses won’t be as severe and you’ll be able to turn them around that much more quickly once lady luck visits you again.

4. Play only when you can concentrate fully and not be distracted

It’s possible that some of the losses you've experienced have been as a result of not fully concentrating on the games. One way to minimize (and even eliminate) these types of losses is to only play when you’re 100% free to concentrate on your play. Multitasking is indeed an admirable skill, but not when it might cost you money. Instead of rushing to get a few minutes of game-play in during your lunch break, why not wait until you get home to sit down, chill out, and have a nice long, relaxed and focused gaming session. This might be just the thing to turn your luck around.

5. Capitalize on deposit bonuses make the most of offers available to you

The most obvious way to turn your luck around is by taking advantage of excellent bonus offers and promotions we have that literally stuff your account with extra money. Losing some money hurts a lot less when you've still got that much more in your account to keep playing with and try to reverse the tide.

Beat the Dealer 50 Percent of the Time in Casino War

Ever heard of an online casino game where you can win against the dealer at least 50 percent of the time? In case you haven’t, try playing Casino War.

This card game is so simple, even a child can learn to play it. (In fact, Casino War is based on a children’s game simply known as War.) The game is played with six 52 card decks, and cards are ranked as follows (from lowest to highest): 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, Jack, Queen, King, and Ace. Both the player and the dealer have one card each.
If your card is higher than the dealer’s, you win twice your original bet plus the raise amount, if any. Otherwise, you’ll lose your bet.

In the event both cards are of equal ranking, you have the option to “surrender” or “go to war”. If you click “Surrender”, you’ll lose half your bet. Clicking “War”, on the other hand, will double your wager—as well as the dealer’s wager—and continue the game. The dealer will “burn” (discard) three cards, and deal one card for both of you.

This time, if you win, you’ll get back your original bet, plus the tie bet and the dealer’s bet. If you lose, you won’t get anything at all.

Because only two cards are involved per play, your chances of winning against the dealer are at least 50 percent. Factor in the randomness of the cards pulled out from the decks every time, and you have the recipe for a classic casino card game.

Understanding Roulette Odds: The Keys to SUCCESS!

When it comes to games of chance, few are more exciting than roulette. Whether you’re enjoying a spin at a brick-and-mortar establishment or prefer to try your luck at an online casino like Titan Casino, the game is almost always among the most popular offerings because seemingly anyone can win. While roulette may indeed be a game built almost entirely around luck, understanding roulette odds can help gamers make the most out of their situation and maximize their winning potential. At the CasinoJR Blog we’re all about putting players first, so, without further ado, here’s some information about roulette odds that you’ll likely find to be quite useful.

Odds and Payouts

One important thing to realize when formulating a strategy for roulette is the connection between a bet’s odds for success and the accompanying payouts. There are primarily two styles of roulette wheel, European/French wheels that boast 37 numbered slots and American wheels that feature 38. As such, the odds of the ball landing on any particular number during a spin are 37:1 or 38:1, respectively. Because accurately predicting which single number will hit, the payout for a winning single number bet is so high, 35-1.

While it may be tempting to go for the gusto with one of these bets, statistically speaking, it’s usually a fool’s endeavor. Let’s have a look at the best and worst bets to make at the roulette wheel.

Best Bets

Though the safest bets typically pay out less, a basic understanding of roulette odds shows that they tend to be the smartest way to build a bankroll. These more secure wagers, typically known as outside bets, offer the lowest payouts but the best winning percentage. Red/black, odd/even and 1–18/19–36 bets boast a roughly 48 percent winning percentage (depending on the kind of wheel) and a 1:1 payout. Dozen bets (in which players wager on three different sections containing 12 numbers apiece) and column bets are a bit more risky (around 32 percent win percentage) but offer double the payouts, at 2:1.

Keeping this in mind, one winning betting strategy might be to place two bets of equal value on two of these outside bets, with one being on an even money option and the other on a 2:1. This combination can cover around 24 numbers on the wheel, and offers a number of options for double wins and significant payouts.

Living Dangerously

With roulette being the ultimate game of chance, any bet could potentially be a winner. That being said, there are some moves that players would be wise to avoid unless they prefer to live dangerously. American roulette wheels, for example, allow players to make a five-number bet, which despite offering a nice 6:1 payout, also grants the house its biggest advantage of any wager (a 7.89% edge).

With this 5-number bet as a leading example, it’s best to make the longshot bets (e.g., single number, two number splits, etc.) sparingly so as not to too quickly deplete your betting bankroll while playing roulette at CasinoJR.

All this isn’t to say that you shouldn’t splash around with these types of wagers from time to time. As a matter of fact, some of roulette’s biggest thrills come from hitting a lucky longshot bet that instantly grants you a cash infusion. Nonetheless, these bets should definitely be an infrequent play.

How Slot Machines Use Psychology and Design to Keep You Coming Back

Anyone who has ever walked into a casino has felt the lure of the slot machine. The bright lights, inviting little stools, and the promise of hitting the elusive jackpot are ever-present. It's hard to avoid, no matter what logic tells you about the terrible odds. This video shows just how involved the development of those enticing machines can be.

It used to be that you'd pull a lever, watch some numbers and pictures spin, and wait for quarters to pop out when you get lucky. But slot machines of the 21st century are of a whole different breed. Bally Technologies' Director of Game Development, Brett Jackson explains how much thought goes into studying what players react to when they sit down, and how they can be manipulated.

At first it seems quite devious—the level of complexity that goes into keeping customers glued to their chair as they shed dollar bills with only a slight chance of winning big. But this type of practice is inherent to most market ventures. Selling is often about appealing to people's emotions and desires, whether they are at a slot machine, buying an Apple product, or deciding what soda to drink.

For those of you who don’t know, Baccarat (the “t” is silent) is a game for the high rolling, high buy in, sophisticated set – or at least it used to be.

To play Baccarat, the dealer deals two cards to two different “players”, the banker and the player. The game is won when you bet who’s (banker or player) hand will come the closest to 9. In Baccarat, cards have different values than in poker. Each of the cards 1-9 are face value, but face cards (Jack, Queen, King) have no value. If the banker is dealt a 5 and a 6, the total is 11, but any value over 9 has 10 subtracted from it so the banker, in reality, has a 1. The cards are dealt until someone reaches 9.

If either the banker or player is dealt an 8 or 9, that hand automatically wins. Winnings are even bet. When you want to win at Baccarat, there is one tip that will help you walk away with money every time. The GREATEST Baccarat strategy tip EVER is to be smart with your money!

Bet low, make sure to keep track of that 5% commission on the banker’s bet, and take the house bet.

Take the bet with the lowest risk. Sure, betting on a tie has the biggest payout, but it also has the biggest house advantage of more than 15%. When you bet low and take fewer risks, the chances of you walking away with some cash is higher.

When you bet on the banker and win, you have to pay a 5% commission to the house. Since this commission isn’t due until you leave the table, you need to keep track of how much you owe. If you owe $400 in commissions to the casino but you lose and are left with only $100, you will find yourself writing a check to the house. Make sure that you at least have enough to pay the commission.

When you bet with the house, you are betting with a “player” that is cautious and very good at making smart money decisions. The best Baccarat strategy is to think like the house; what would the house do, how much would the house bet, when would the house walk away?

Baccarat is a fun game that doesn’t take much skill, but you’ll need to find a casino that offers Baccarat at the lower buy in tables or you’ll find yourself shut out or spending more than you intended just to sit down.

What are wagering requirements on an online casino bonus?

Sometimes we get new players that have no clue what wagering requirements are. They get all excited when they hear we have good promotions but then become offended when we tell them that there’s a condition that prevents them from withdrawing the money after a few lucky spins.

Wagering requirements are necessary to prevent fraud. Any online casino is pouring out hundreds of thousands of euros a month in promotion money. This actually costs the casino quite a bit because the money is played and sometimes lost in the games, affecting the payout rates. As we’ve explained before, the casino makes a small percentage of every bet in the long run. But when half of this money comes from promotions, then the online casino only sees a fraction of that small percentage.

Wagering requirements are then the amount of money you must risk or wager on the appointed games prior to requesting a cash out. It is quite simple. Imagine receiving a 100% bonus on a $100 deposit. That will give you $100 in bonus money for a total balance of $200. The wagering requirements, also known as the playthrough, will be given as a number such as: 20x. This means that the total amount of $200 must be multiplied by 20 for a total of $4000. The wagering requirement then is to wager $4000 on the allowed games prior to a cash out. A wager is simply the amount of money you bet on each spin, when you play a fruit machine for example. So if you are betting $1 a spin, you will need 4000 spins to complete or fulfill the wagering requirement.

We understand the wagering requirements may be intimidating to some players. That’s why we try to keep them in reasonable terms. Some weeks, like the current one, we reduce our wagering requirements on all bonuses by at least 20%.  For example, we have a 144% Weekly match this week for active players. Normally a bonus like this would carry 24x wagering requirement, but this week it has only 18x. Plus, it does not carry any maximum withdrawal limit. Whatever the player wins can be cashed out.

How to prepare yourself for a massive gamble

There is no doubt that playing modern live casino games online is an exhilarating and enjoyable experience. However, it is important to remember that as a player you should always be careful with your money and not continue to chase losses beyond your means. A lot of the time, in order to try and get back into the black, a player will place a huge bet at the roulette table or at blackjack for example, hoping to come up trumps. Unfortunately, playing live casino games and online gambling in general is a very unpredictable past time, and it is often better to know simply when to call it quits.

Nowadays, most online live casinos subscribe to the Responsible Gambling mentality and advocate setting deposit and betting limits on your account. Some casinos even ask you to set these limits the very first time you register with the company. It is undeniable that setting these limits is a very good idea as it will stop you spending money you cannot afford to lose. Gambling is of course addictive, and along with the undeniable fun and excitement that it can bring, if you start spending money that should be paying your bills or providing for your family, you should certainly realise that it is time to take a step back and consider your actions.

Returning to the idea of placing a massive bet to try and recoup your losses; if you had placed limits on your account before you started playing at all, it is certainly possible that you would not have lost so much money that you now need to place a big bet. Gambling and live casino games are a past time, certainly not a guaranteed source of income. There are certain signs to watch out for which could mean that your gambling is becoming a problem:

Do you feel that you could be losing control of your gambling habits? Perhaps you have started borrowing money or missing work or university in order to play more. Setting aside a certain amount of money for your gambling pastime is a good idea, however, if you are putting money aside which should be going on genuinely important things such as household bills and food, this is certainly a sign of a problem.

On the other hand, there are times when you are within your means and are simply looking to place a big bet for the excitement of potentially winning a big return. In this case, it is certainly a good idea to look at the previous results at your table of choice. Has there been a run of red numbers at the live roulette table which could signify that a black is sure to come up soon? Have you been watching recent hands at the blackjack table well enough to have spotted a pattern? These are techniques and tactics employed by many successful live casino games players and can be developed over time.

How to make your live casino game more enjoyable

Playing live casino games at home is already a hugely popular pastime and is enjoyed by millions of people around the world. There are a few things you can do to make your live gaming experience even more enjoyable:

Choose a casino you like
Let’s face it, as a player you are spoilt for choice as far as choosing a live casino to play at is concerned. There are several excellent U.K. based casinos to choose from, and if you have an internationally recognised credit card, there’s nothing stopping you from playing at any casino you like. However, it is important to choose a live casino you like the layout of and feel comfortable playing at. It is easy to try out new casinos by making use of their play money options so you needn’t simply sign up with the first one that comes along. If you make the mistake of choosing a casino with little quirks and glitches that annoy you, this is pretty much going to ruin your enjoyment of the game.

Relax
Although there are some players who play live casino games with the strict intention of making a profit; the majority of players are simply looking to have a good time. Also, many players like to settle down for an evening of playing live casino games for the purpose of relaxing; however, it is also important to have everything just right so that you are relaxed in the first place. How about turning your phone off, getting yourself a beer or a glass of wine and settling down in a comfortable spot so that you can really make the most of playing roulette, blackjack or whatever game is your favourite. A lot of players actually designate a certain time of the day or week as their time for playing online casino games; this gives them something to look forward to, especially after a hard day or week at work.

Chat to the dealer
Of course, one of the primary differences between playing the more traditional online casino games and live dealer games is the presence of the croupier his or herself. Usually a good-looking young woman; enjoy the fact that you can chat to the dealer and have a little bit of fun during the game. The best live dealers are very sociable and as well as knowing the games inside out, they are also very happy to have a bit of a giggle too. So make the most of this important aspect of the game and chat along with your glamorous dealer.

Try new games
Seeing as every man and his dog will tell you that variety is the spice of life, don’t simply stick to your favourite games or the ones you know the rules of; branch out a little and try something different. As mentioned above, live casinos virtually always have the option of using play money to get used to new games so make use of this to further your enjoyment. If you’re a big fan of blackjack, why not try baccarat for a change; equally, if you only ever log on to play roulette, why not try learning one of the card games to see if you like it. The numerous deposit bonuses available from live casinos also make trying new games even easier, and without any real outlay.

In summary, to make your live casino gaming more enjoyable; relax, try a few different games and make the most of the live element of playing.

Understanding slots machine addiction

Slots machines are flashy, produce soothing sounds, flicker and occasionally, a jackpot that is life changing is won. However, just like all good things in life, there is always the negative side.  The negative side is that it can generate slots machine addiction. Psychologists who have studied the effects of slots machine on the mind of the gamblers have concluded that addiction occurs due to a combination of two factors: environmental factors, and through classical conditioning. When the two are perfectly blended, addiction will surely follow. We will analyze the two factors to see how they influence addiction.

Why slots are machines so successful?

Slots machines are one of the most potent machines today. Unlike other machines, they have the power of controlling the user. Slot machines, unlike other machines that are geared to facilitate work by making easier, faster and efficiently, are programmed to meet the objectives of the user by offering rewards.

But how?

To answer this question, it is important to go back to the 19th century when slots machines were purely a work of art and the machines weren’t sophisticated. Slot machines have since changed to incorporate vivid graphics, nice soothing sounds, and interactive choices aimed at making a player thirst for success through well-calculated near misses. In a research done to investigate, the effect of near misses and published by Neuron, fifteen volunteers played slots as their brain activity was monitored in a MRI scans. When the scans were compared, it was observed that near misses had the effect of drawing more blood to the reward regions in the brain such as the ventral striatu. These are the same region in the brain activated by rewards such as cocaine and chocolates.

A report published by Science NOW Daily News states that slot machine markers have perfected on the near-miss effect. The research established that the machines are programmed in a manner that players behaviour is induced to believe that there is a possibility of winning big, but sadly, this rarely happens. It is important to mention how reel stops are effective in maintaining reinforcements. Usually, when the first reel stops on a potential winner, a heightened state of arousal is activated. Symbols located below, and above the pay line unconsciously condition players mind which eventually leads to addiction.
Superstition by players also contributes to addiction. If you have visited a casino before, you probably have witnessed strange behavior by some gamblers when they are playing slots. Such behavior is manifested when: putting money in the coin slots, standing, pulling the slots handle and even rubbing the side of the slots machine. Such behaviors have no influence on the outcome of the game, but in a players mind, such behaviors only work to reinforce the belief of the player that they will win hence slowly the player becomes addicted.

Part played by the environment

Casinos floors have been deliberately designed to attract, and retain gamblers for extended periods. Sounds of bustling players, ringing bells, shouts of joy, and freebies all contribute in influencing players into believing that this is the right place to be.  There is a seemingly uniformity in all the players playing slots, all are interested in achieving the same objective hitting a jackpot. Screams of happiness will be heard whenever a winner is announced, such an environment is the perfect recipe for influencing addiction. A player subconsciously made to believe that it is just a matter of time before he or she is in a state of delirium. To many a player, such a moment is never realized, addiction is the reward.

Baccarat tips for novice players

The Baccarat tips for novice players will either work for online casinos and physical presence casinos, so don’t worry. The same principles apply perfectly for both incarnations of this great game. Our objective here is that you leave this article knowing a handful of baccarat tips to improve your overall experience in this luck based game.

In the case you are new to the game or you just want to refresh the basic mechanics, you can always check out our rules of Baccarat coverage. Just remember, knowledge is power. Embrace that concept and you will be always ready to play any casino game.

Bet on a tie is a No-Go

As you know in the game of Baccarat there are three possible types of bets:
You can bet that the player wins.
You can bet the bank  wins.
You can bet that the players will tie.
The bank has a slightly higher margin, despite this, players usually bet on themselves and in a game like this one, every advantage matters. However, betting on a tie is something you should never do. The reason why you shouldn't bet on a tie is that if you bet for the player, you have a disadvantage of 1%. In the other case, when you bet for the bank, the winning margin of the bank goes over 14%.

Streaks can be your doom

Streaks can occur to anyone. Seemingly impossible mathematical events happen playing casino games. The chance of an event like this happening will always be the same. The thing is, each hand is independent of the next one, so there is no guardian angel or pagan god, there are just coincidences. This isn’t a Harry Potter movie, spells don’t exist. If you continue raising your bet, at some point those coincidences will come and bite you. Following a streak for the sake of having a streak is a step towards your bankruptcy.

Acknowledge that online casinos always have the advantage, and that what you are doing is having  fun. Just remember this is a game of chance, and becoming lucky is something that can happen or not.  Always look for a nice welcome bonus to make things easier on the wallet.  Risking more money than you should because you have a hunch, can become a problem.

The Commission is always there

Whenever the dealer bets and win, you must pay the bank a 5% commission. This is a basic rule of the game. Always consider it and take serious account of the money you have on the table every time. Money can fly while having fun. Paying attention is imperative, those who don’t pay a big prize.

Well, that’s all the Baccarat tips for novice players we have for now. There is no better time than the present to go over basic tips of our favourite casino games.

Tips to pay at Online Casinos

Online Casino
Online casinos, also known as virtual casinos or internet casinos are online versions of traditional casinos. Online casinos enable gamblers to play and wager on casino games through the Internet. Online casinos offer the same games as the traditional casino such as slots, roulette, poker and craps. Online casino has become popular with in a short period of time as they provide an opportunity to play from the comfort of the home and also provide the excitement of a traditional casino with several new and innovative games.

How to select online casino
There are many online casino sites, but most of them are not trustworthy and are liable to cheat the players who sign up. Here are some guidelines that help in choosing a right online casino:
  • Security – Is the most important thing to be checked before registering and giving out personal
information on the website. Make sure that the site is verified by well known security agencies, like Truste, Thawte, etc. This ensures that any transactions done online on the site is secure.
  • Another important thing that needs to be checked is the general information on the site before registering to play. The general information includes details about deposits while registering to play, details on bonuses which include the bonus offers that are available and newsletters of the company so that information on promotions can be obtained,
  • Recognition from reputed sites that review online casinos and games.
  • Another benchmark of a good casino is the online 24/7 customer care. Support team should to be available for help 24 hours a day if a player faces any issues while playing on their site. These kinds of sites provide quick replies to your queries and solve your problems. You can contact customer support or service center by phone or email. So do not hesitate to contact them.
  • A way to recognize a good brand is the age of the domain. The longer they have been online, the more trustworthy they are.
The points mentioned above are not a comprehensive checklist, but some of the important things to be kept in mind while choosing a right online casino.

Once you join an online casino, make sure that you read all the mails that you receive from the site. Some of the reputed sites keep organizing competitions and new promotions. They also announce the winners and new games in their newsletters. So always sign up with the site’s newsletter for latest information and details.

Can You Trust Online Casinos?

Do online casinos cheat? If you're thinking about beginning online gambling, it's a question you want answering. After all, gambling is risky by its very nature - you don't want to add to that risk by playing somewhere that's going to cheat you out of your winnings, or not allow you to win at all!

But there are gamblers out there who will still tell you that all online casinos are rigged, that 'impossible' things happen too often for them to be truly random.
This is a misconception, but it's fairly common, and due I believe to a number of things:

Reason #1 - when you're gambling online, you can play many more games per hour than you can in a land-based casino. You're playing alone, so you don't have to wait for others to place their bets or be paid out. There are no physical chips or cards or balls, so there's no 'clearing up' to be done between games. The cards are dealt quicker, the Roulette wheel takes less time to spin, the dice are always ready to be thrown.

Because of this, unusual things will occur much more often than in 'real' casinos. They'll not occur more frequently in terms of probability, but they will in terms of actual time.

For example, the chance of getting 6 consecutive blacks in Roulette is approximately 1 in 64. If it takes two minutes between spins of the Roulette wheel in a real casino, this event will only occur once every two hours. If you're playing 3 rounds a minute (possible in an online casino), it will occur every twenty minutes! In both cases, the probability is the same, but the impression is that an unusual event is happening far more often, which must be because the online casino is rigged!

Reason #2 - when you play online, you're playing alone. I touched on this above, explaining how this affects the speed of games, but there's an important psychological implication to this, too. If you play Blackjack in a real casino with four other players, even if you don't win for a few rounds, the likelihood is that someone at your table will.

You could easily go ten hands without winning, but because you see others winning and, therefore, see the casino losing, you believe that the casino is honest.

Online, you focus purely on your own results. Suddenly, because you don't see anyone else win or the casino lose, those ten losing hands seem to be against all probability. The reason? Clearly, the casino must be rigged!

Reason #3 - everyone involved in online casino gambling has to be honest about this: in the early days, some casinos cheated. It's an unfortunate fact, and for many years did nothing to improve players' confidence in the honesty of online casinos.

Fortunately, things have now changed. The online casino industry is one of the most regulated of all businesses. Those 'rogue' casinos have been run out of town - named and shamed and blacklisted by the numerous industry watchdogs.

These industry ombudsmen exist to uphold the image of fairness and reliability and will step in to investigate and resolve any player disputes. So long as you're playing at a regulated casino site, you'll be protected against any wrongdoing.

In the UK, things are even stricter. Since the Gambling Act was enforced last year, only regulated casinos are allowed to advertise or be promoted. In this case, regulated means licensed in an approved jurisdiction. This caused major headaches as many of the biggest casinos suddenly found themselves outside this so-called 'White List'. Most have now moved operations to places such as Malta, but some have resisted and are now unable to promote to UK and EU players.

In conclusion, online casinos don't cheat, they're not rigged and they are fair.

Before you start to gamble online, you'd be well advised to check out your options. Many thousands of so-called 'portal sites' exist whose job it is to compare and contrast online casinos and recommend the casino that will best suit your needs.

My advice to anyone contemplating online gambling is to visit one of these portals, safe in the knowledge that the casinos recommended there are licensed, regulated and - above all - honest!
